Rafael Zard grew up in Bulgaria, in a Bulgarian-Lebanese family where dressing well wasn't a statement. It was a standard. Tradition, tailoring, and the quiet use of fine materials. Never logos.
At fifteen, he moved to Marbella, where that sensibility loosened into something more effortless. A way of dressing built on ease, precision, and restraint.
Years later, after moving to the United States to study at the University of Miami and then New York University, he started to notice a shift. Style had grown louder and faster, and somewhere along the way it had lost its intention.
Fora Leonara started as a response to that shift. A return to discipline, permanence, and quiet confidence.
Working out of his own factory in the European Union, Rafael sources exceptional fabrics and finishes each garment with precision. Every piece is considered, intentional, and built without compromise.
